Hema Gandikota has worked as HR consultant and Trainer with the National Productivity Council for 22 years.
She retired as the Director of the Hyderabad office in 2009.During her working years her expertise has been in conducting training programs in the areas of Team Building, Communication, Motivation, Presentation Skills as well as Modular programs for trade unions, supervisors and managers in Hindi ,English and Telugu.Some of her important clients have been the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum; Nuclear Fuel Complex; Hindustan Lever; MRF; Larson and Toubro; Ship Building Corporation,Vizag and Goa Shipyard.
Hema has a post graduate degree from the Delhi School of Economics, a B.Ed from Delhi university and a Post graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering from National Productivity Council. She has also undergone management training with the Asian Productivity Organisation and Asian Development Bank -Tokyo.
After retirement, Hema has been spending her time doing what she is best at and what she enjoys most. She is a dedicated volunteer for 2 NGOs which teach under privileged children-1)Teach for Change and 2) After School. She is also an avid reader; her favourites being autobiographies, short stories and books on spirituality.
Hema enjoys watching movies in a variety of languages, for she strongly believes that language is no barrier to understanding people and emotions. She is not only a feminist, but feels strongly against any kind of injustice in society; which is what inspires her to sometimes, pen down her thoughts in the form of poetry or short stories.
