Deepa Kumar is a Mental Health Practitioner providing Adolescent and Adult Counselling Services. She offers Counselling and  Psychotherapy using Transactional analysis, a concept in Psychology that helps analyse social interactions. She holds a Diploma in Transactional Analysis and is currently pursuing her Masters in Psychology. Deepa is a member of South Asian Association of Transactional Analysts (SAATA) and the International Association of Transactional Analysts (ITAA).Deepa’s years of personal work in Psychotherapy provides expertise in helping clients presenting depression, post-partum depression, body image issues, shame, grief, limiting notions due to fear, anger, low self-esteem and many other misunderstood emotions.She is passionate about the mind- body connection and fascinated by the fact that the body holds the answers to many unresolved issues. She believes in bringing the same awareness in her clients. She helps them gather new and improved information to deal with everyday difficulties and access deeper levels of unmet needs.Deepa’s previous professional endeavours were in the field of biotechnology, with a Master’s degree in Microbiology. Deepa feels moments of flow in singing, writing, painting, fibre arts like crochet, pottery, and spending time grounding in nature. She cares for the animals in her neighbourhood, volunteering to rescue and rehabilitate them when in need.
